The published guidance encourages applications during the first three years after PhD completion; it also requests proof of study from applicants still in doctoral studies. Contact the committee if your eligibility is unclear.

Prepare your application

Send your application by email to Carla Luguetti at carla.luguetti@unimelb.edu.au.

  1. Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  2. One page describing your intended future involvement in AIESEP and Pedagogy Research
  3. Proof of study, if still in doctoral studies
  4. Abstract of your submitted presentation
  5. A recommendation letter from an AIESEP member in good standing

What the award includes

Recipients receive a conference or congress registration-fee waiver and formal recognition. They must present an oral presentation or poster and participate in Early Career Scholar events. The committee states that it will notify recipients within one month of the final submission deadline.

About the award

The AIESEP Early Career Scholar Award (formally Young Scholar Award) was established in 2001 by former AIESEP Board Member Eitan Eldar (Israel). The intent of the award is to recognise early career scholars within the field who have made an outstanding contribution to the field and demonstrate scholarly promise.
