AIESEP President Fiona Chambers delivers her latest TEDx talk accessible here.
Through the eyes of the mythical Ariadne and her ‘descendants’, Dr Fiona Chambers reveals how sport has betrayed generations of women and girls. Across time, cultures and continents, a web of systemic barriers in sport has trapped women’s athletic and leadership potential in the shadows. The key to breaking free? Flooding the sport system with a surge of women leaders who can transform sports governance and unlock equity for women and girls in sport, using their unique brand of leadership. She asks each of us to #BetheRedThread for equity in sport for women and girls.
